A couple of days until vacation!

The last days of work before a vacation are always the most difficult. My brain is already on vacation! I love work (Well...Most of the time). Yet I really do need a break! Ha!!! I typed "I really do need a brain!" Hmmm....That was a very telling slipup!

A local videographer threw an idea at me today. She is interested in offering still picture booths at events and she wondered if that would be something I am interested in doing! Hmmmmmm.....Let me think! YES!

Things for the scrapbooking/art club are really going well! I found a couple ideas in Family Fun magazine that I might like to do with the kids! Some kind of cool Thanksgiving Day place cards will be fun! Also Christmas placemats for our pre-school lunch cafe!

I am playing around some more with Christmas cards! Here is one that I made today!

My boss seemed soo excited about my proposal for the elementary after-school scrapbooking club! She gave me the double thumbs up!Yahoooooo!!! I get to share my passion for memory keeping and paper crafting with 5-11 year olds! Yahooooooooooo!!! This weekend I will be making up a flyer to promote the club!

I am crazy about vintage etiquette books! I've been collecting them since 2000. Michael found this one for me.They were going to dispose of it at the library. Can you believe that? Fun! Fun! Fun!

I am homesick for Vermont. I get that way during this time of year. Usually because Vermont is actually having fall! Actual changing leaves and cold weather. 85 degrees and sunny is not fall. I'm done with summer!! I can't get into fall decorating while it's still warm. So anyway...next Saturday Michael and I are heading north to PA and VT. I can't wait!!! I just need to get away from CinCaTucky for a while! I need to get away from the traffic. I need to get away work. I just need a break.

This is on the campus of the High School that I went to and later worked at! St. Johnsbury Academy! I must say that my time here really did so much to change and grow into who I really am. Both as a student and as a staff member!

St. Johnsbury is such a wonderful place. Where else can a Vermont country-girl like me meet kids from Indonesia, Germany, Japan, Spain, Mexico, Brazil? This school is a mini United Nations!

So I'm looking forward to the St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers destroying the Lyndon Institute Vikings in the 104th Annual football game!

Not so much gettin' crafty!

I haven't been doing many crafty things for my own fun. I've been busy making Bulletin boards, planning kids art projects, and making books for the Toddler Classes at work! Fun.....but it's not helping me get my other projects done!
