This is my Uncle Dave. I love this picture! I think my Aunt took it.I love the look in his eyes. He died this past fall. This is how I want to remember him. With a big goofy grin. He was such a goof. I rember his Homer Simpson slippers that he would wear. I remeber he was the designated prayer at all family gatherings :D He was a great father to my cousins...strick...but good.

Just another Saturday

While trying to clean up the kitchen, I spilled a whole bag of pasta on the floor. Bummer.I made another layout about Tuesday historial event. The background photo is of an American flag. The little mini-flag on the top is actually a cup cake topper that I had left over from my wedding. I got married on 7/7/07, so we had an Red, White, and Blue wedding.
An Sam's club today they were having a sample extravaganza. There were tasting stations all over. A lot more than normal. So anyway...Shrimp was on sale. I made a yummy Shrimp Scampi for dinner. Michael loved it and said I could make it anytime. I will learn how to cook someday :D

I am working on a project for another co-worker who is having a baby!

I am going to go into her classroom to take pictures of her students. I am also going to ask them questions...here are a few examples

1. What should Ms. Ashley name her baby?

2. What should Ms. Ashley take to the hospital when she goes to have her baby

3. Where should Ms. Ashley take her baby for a field trip?

4. How do you change a diaper?

Just wanted to put in a plug for the Presidential Prayer Team. While I DO NOT agree with all of President Obama's politics, I am dedicated to lifting him up in prayer. That is one small thing that I can do.

Baby Shower and What is Scrapbooking?

These are pictures from the Baby shower on Thursday night. Liz is such a sweet person. She will be an excellent Mom! One of the women who attended the shower is a scrapbooker! Yay! She made the Mom-to-Be a scrapbook, she altered a picture frame,and she even embellished a couple of bottles of hand sanitizer! Adorable.

The elementary scrapbooking club is still going really well. This is a conversation I had with a five year old boy yesterday

Little Boy: Ms. Emily, Can I PLLLLLLEEAAAAAAAASSSSSSE join scrapbooking club. I have to join Scrapbooking club! Please! Can I?

Me: Sure, If you really want to join scrapbooking club you can!

Little Boy: What is scrapbooking?

Me: You'll find out on Tuesday!!

I'm pretty sure he justs wants to come because I make yummy treats each week. Hey, if a draw of brownies gets him into the club and then finds a hobby that he really enjoys...who am I to stop him?
